What is Single Jersey Fabric?
Single jersey fabrics are one of the most common fabric types in the market. Single jersey fabrics produced only on circular knitting machines are knitted flat from cotton or cotton-weighted blended yarns.
They are generally produced with a low weight of 100-130 grams. Since the front of the jersey fabric is straight and the back has a reverse loop structure, the front and back are different. Single jersey fabric types, named according to the yarns used, can also be knitted as single-ply yarns and high-weight.
